EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Marine One carrying Donald and Melania Trump made an emergency UK landing due to a hydraulics issue, safely transferring them to another helicopter.
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were aboard Marine One when the helicopter was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that Trump and Melania switched helicopters after pilots identified a “hydraulics issue.”
“Out of an abundance of caution, the pilots landed at a local airfield before reaching Stansted Airport,” Leavitt said. “The president and first lady safely boarded the support helicopter.”
